While there is no information on the date of the first construction of the mosque, the inscription of the first important repair displays the year 1816. Documents reveal that the mosque was built by a carpenter named Ali. It is one of the largest mosques of Gaziantep and has a rectangular plan with two naves parallel to the mihrab.
Ali Nacar Mosque is a historical mosque located in the Tabakhane area of Yaprak neighborhood, built by a carpenter named Ali, notable for its muezzin's platform staircase dated 1213 Hijri.
