Mosque
It was built by Nuri Mehmet Pasha a few years before 1786. The mosque, which was damaged during its defence, was used as a military warehouse for a while and as a museum between 1958 and 1968 after the proclamation of the Republic, then it was repaired and opened for worship as a mosque. There is the grave of Nuri Mehmet Pasha in the walled graveyard to the east of the mosque courtyard.
Nuri Mehmet Paşa Mosque is an important Ottoman monument that reflects the elegance of the 18th century with its architecture, magnificent prayer hall shaped by domes and vaults, and colorful marble and zigzag patterned mihrab; despite being damaged during the Gaziantep Defense, it was restored after being used as a military depot and museum, and reopened for worship, witnessing the city's history.
