Bathhouse
Şıh Hamamı is located in Kepenek Mahallesi, west of Şıh Mosque, and is still in use today. All parts of the structure have been well-preserved. The cold section is accessed by descending 11 steps. In the center of this square-plan section, there is an octagonal pool made of basalt stone, covered by a dome. The warm section has three iwans and is domed. The hot section consists of iwans and private bathing cells surrounding the domed central space. The water reservoir and the furnace are located at the continuation of the heat.
Şıh Hamamı, located in Kepenek Mahallesi, west of Şıh Mosque, is one of the rare structures that have survived with all its sections still intact. The domed spaces accessed by 11 steps, the basalt octagonal pool in the center, and the iwans and private bathing cells of the hot section present an impressive example of classical Ottoman bath architecture.
